Westminster
Medical Ltd. was founded in 1983 by Dr. Andrew Saywood to provide an
independent and impartial medical advisory and reporting service.
Westminster
Medical specialises in the preparation of overview reports
in cases of medical negligence and personal injury claims, including
Civil and Criminal cases. The reports are impartial, detailed
and comprehensive with explanations of all medical terminology.
Thus, the risk assessment of a case can be assessed
easily to avoid waste of time and money, an essential factor
for conditional fee arrangements.
Further expert medical opinion is available for
all specialities and our consultants are experienced in medico-legal
matters.
We
provide bound bundles of paginated medical records to be
used in conjunction with the reports and identify any notes that are missing or altered.
Dr
Saywood is a trained Arbitrator and Mediator.

In some cases clinical photography
can illustrate a problem far more effectively than words,
so where necessary photographs accompany the reports. Similarly,
we can provide video recordings to demonstrate care needs.
These, “Day in the Life Of” videos, establish a patient’s
problems in a way prose never can and are a very effective
tool.

| Medicals, for example Diving
and Employment, are conducted in our consulting rooms in the comfortable surroundings of Harley Street,
London or the Derby Nuffield Hospital. This has easy access and on
site parking facilities.
All investigations can be arranged in-house such as, blood
tests, X-rays, ECGs, MRI scans etc.
Special
consideration can be given to rates of fees for larger turnover of minor
personal injury cases, such as road traffic accidents.
When it is
administratively efficient for our clients, it may be possible
for a block booking of medicals to be done elsewhere, for example, at
the site of employment. In some special circumstances, patients
can be seen in their own home.
Usually, urgent cases and consultations can be accommodated.
We conduct
medical reports for disability and employment claims involving the Disability Discrimination Act.
